Karen's experience in the wireless industry began in 1991 doing regulatory work for Verizon Wireless’ predecessor, US West Cellular. Over the past 30 years, she has held a variety of leadership roles with Verizon Wireless, a wireless general contracting firm, and as President and lead Project Manager at NeuComm. Roles included Project Manager, Real Estate Manager, Equipment Engineer, Construction Manager, Transport (Interconnect) Manager, Budget Manager, and Contracts Manager. Throughout many of these roles, Karen has managed projects large and small. She has a “world view” of site development as she has worked in virtually every aspect of the process over the years. She has participated in development of numerous systems, including implementation-related roles such as location selection, compliance with federal and local jurisdictional requirements, zoning and construction drawing review/approval, bid/award to general and sub-contractors, construction oversight, and budget management. Karen’s leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with her depth and breadth of experience make her one of the foremost experts in the industy. Karen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota – Duluth.
